Yep, over on LinkedIn too.

We kinda dig connections so feel free to join the network over there as well.

A History

Dallas Peters was born in Amarillo, TX but grew up in Phoenix, AZ with a love for both baseball and art. When it was time to pack up and head to college, his athletic ability took him to West Texas A&M where he sat behind the plate as catcher for the Buffalos. But he grew restless and left school for College Station and then out west to Cali for a little surf, sun and soul-searching.

While his love for baseball diminished, his love for art and design grew. He headed east to pursue his education at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He then moved to Austin and started honing his craft as both a freelance graphic designer and a full-time graphic designer for the city newspaper, the Austin American-Statesman.

Now, Dallas lives and works in East Austin, where the eclectic art and design scene continues to grow by creative leaps and bounds. When he’s not designing in his studio, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three young sons, tending to his garden and sampling all things locally brewed.

A Philosophy

Dallas is not only drawn to beautiful work, he likes to create it, too. But just because something looks good doesn’t always mean that it effectively serves its purpose. We at DPD understand the importance of striking a balance between form and function. We believe there is beauty in simplicity.

DPD follows the plug-and-play model. No large overhead here! In addition to the founder and designer, Dallas, we draw on a network of seasoned copywriters, application/back-end developers, videographers and other talent at the ready to meet projects’ specific needs in an efficient manner.

And at the end of the work day, when all projects have been carefully tucked in, we return to family and friends. Just as we believe in striking a balance between form and function, we believe in honoring a balance between work and life. Yes, work is life but so are family and friends. Spending time with them and enjoying moments that don’t involve Print, Web and Branding only add to our creative inspiration and vision when we return to DPD Monday morning.
